Ultramatics has developed a multi-phase framework to guide its Unplugged workshops. Our approach is much more than a free-form discussion of the issues that affect the flexible delivery of enterprise applications - although collaborative solutions define your experience. Our methodology builds on four key concepts: 1. Discovery and Requirements Gathering - We work with you to document and analyze your current architecture, including based on mission-critical applications and legacy assets information gathered both prior to and during the workshop. "Pain points" that show what problems exist in the current application environment will be studied and addressed by the proposed solution in subsequent phases. We then familiarize you with various strategies and best practices for extending, integrating and transforming your legacy application environments, deriving additional value from your SOA. 2. Solution Definition - Once a knowledge "level-set" has been established, the identified problems and pain points will be mapped to solution scenarios and patterns. The potential solutions are refined and discussed, and a high-level solution architecture is developed. 3. Implementation - During this phase, the high-level architecture is further refined and mapped to the specific options and alternatives that fulfill the functionality specified in the architecture and project charters. 4. Deliverables - After the workshop is completed, our team creates a "Results Summary" document to provide a comprehensive view of the findings of the workshop.
