UltraStart Business Solutions UltraStart™ - Rational Change and Configuration Management Service Overview
UltraStart™/ Rational Software Change and Configuration Management program offering provides a packaged set of consulting services to quickly implement a fundamental Rational Software Change and Configuration Management environment. UltraStart™ solutions in this area are aimed at implementing effective change and configuration management processes and tools in our customer environments, including analyzing and adapting change procedures, configuring tools to support these procedures, sizing and configuring the hardware architecture supporting the tools, and ensuring the correct integration with other tools and programs used in the customer environment. It is delivered by our Certified Rational consultants - all of who have an extensive background in Rational Software Change and Configuration Management tools. The diverse set of activities includes:

• Assist your organization successfully review, define, implement a RUP based iterative Change and Configuration Management using IBM/Rational ClearQuest and ClearCase tools.
• Review existing change management processes and determines usage patterns and needs for change management improvement if it is required.
• Assist in source code control plan including branching strategies and best practices using ClearCase.
• Review network and set up system administration for both tools and provide mentoring for best practices and appropriate change control processes for your organization.
• Integrate ClearCase and ClearQuest as per your organizational requirement.
• Aid in the development of ClearQuest/ClearCase schemas that enforce work policies and integrate all of your development tools into one coherent suite, with ProjectConsole as a reporting mechanism (if required).
